"There are no innocents, Jetii di'kut..."
"The old one knows..."
*Despite his scorn to the Jedi the words spoken had rung true somewhere deep inside him. Under all the fanaticism and hatred something cried out, a puny and pathetic voice that spoke of reason and justice. Not enough to give him pause yet there nonetheless. A spark of sanity that bobbed and weaved among the torrent of chaos...
"No reasoning being is capable of innocence. We all must stand before Kad's final judgement. It is those that do nothing, those that stand idle, that will be judged most harshly."

Re: The Ori'gehat'ik
~ The visor of the guard's helm snapped towards the Priest before slowly, menacingly, returning to focus on the Jedi.
Stronger than I gave you credit for.
Beneath the mask, she scowled, the icy touch of the Dark Side ebbing and flowing with the waves of her temper. The Jedi's influence was interfering with hers. In a small and insignificant way, perhaps, but all the same, she did not like it.
You cannot save them. You cannot even save yourself, Knight.
Despite the risk of increasing suspicion, of making her presence known to the Sensitive, Kyyx's indignation was such that she needed to feel his pain. She dug at Joshua's mind, taking advantage of his vulnerable state to find the core of his emotions, and pull to the surface the ones she liked best: Fear, pain, and disgust.
Moving with a serpentine and inhuman gracefulness, she wove between the trio of civilians, brushing her gloved fingertips along the jawline of the boy, the long tresses of the new mother, pausing at the nape of the old man.
Which one...? Which one are you most afraid for...?
Her focus shifted back to the Priest, pushing Mind Control to dangerous levels.
You have to show him, Priest of Kad.. Prove to the Jedi that no one is worth saving. Offer one of the 'innocents' their own salvation if they but voluntarily kill the other two.
Her blue lips curved.
I'll make sure one of them is afraid enough to take the offer. ~
