Wiry thin, Onur looks as though a stiff breeze could topple him. His skin is excessively pale, almost deathly-white, with hair the very antithesis, being jet black and well groomed. Grey eyes bring together the typical Nagai appearance of a corpse, though high cheekbones, a strong chin, and sharp ears give his appearance an almost dagger-like quality.
More often than not, Onur is frequently seen encased within his durasteel armor, painted indigo with splashes of green and gold for accents. It appears to have received a deep gash along the chest from some type of high-powered energy weapon, which he refuses to repair. When out of combat, Onur favors simple, no-fuss dress, gravitating towards darker colors in contrast to the garish hue of his armor.
Onur Salil was born on Coruscant shortly before the Yuuzhan Vong War. Forced to flee like so many others when the planet was invaded and nearly destroyed, the young Nagai lost his parents to the battle and was stuck aboard a refugee ship for some time.
Eventually linking up with elements of the newly formed Galactic Alliance Navy, Onur's evacuation vessel transfered many of its inhabitants to warships for protection while they were ferried towards other settlements. Onur himself, a child at the time, was adopted by a member of the Navy, an Officer who looked after the boy throughout the course of the war.
His adopted father ended his tour and resigned his commission after the war, raising Onur as if he were his own son. Indeed, Captain Furon V'rek had lost his own child to the fighting, and so the arrangement was not entirely selfless. In this environment, the Nagai was introduced to military life incredibly early on, and his foster father continued that tradition by instilling his own knowledge and discipline into Onur.
As soon as he was 18, Onur joined the Galactic Alliance Defense Force, just on the eve of the Second Galactic Civil War. At first a loyal soldier within the Alliance, Onur's view on the situation began to gradually shift as he and his stepfather engaged in regular shouting matches regarding the state of the Alliance and what the increasingly-corrupt Galactic Alliance Guard was actually doing. Two things occurred that finally shattered any illusion the Nagai still had about his responsibilities.
The razing of Kashyyyk, and the death of his stepfather after another protest on Coruscant was put down by local members of the GAG.
Onur Salil quickly fled to seek out the Jedi Coalition, determined to fight the corruption that had festered within his government. However, being in a unique position as a Loyalist, the Coalition asked Onur to stay within Jacen Solo's Fleet and instead act as a spy rather than soldier for them. Though dangerous if he were to be captured, Onur agreed.
Until the end of the war in 41 ABY, Onur Salil fed as much military information as he could to the Alliance-In-Exile, leading to his induction into the Galactic Alliance Intelligence Service once peace was reestablished. From there, Onur's career skyrocketed as a Deep Cover agent.
Serving a very storied tour throughout the Hutt Cartels, The Confederation, and even a brief stint to try and hunt down the cultists who attacked Zayrot Station, Onur's latest assignment came in 49 ABY. With unclarified reports of rising Mandalorian buildup and aggression within their sector of space, GAIS wanted a better view of what, precisely, Manda'lor was planning. Upon the recommendation of a former NRI and GAIS Handler-turned-Senator, the Nagai spy was hand-picked for the task of infiltrating the Clans and sending regular reports back to Coruscant.
The deception was not an easy one: his past as a "member" of Darth Caedus's coup d'état could not entirely be scrubbed out and, considering said Sith Lord's actions against the Mandalorians during the Second Galactic Civil War, there was a large degree of prejudice working against him. However, the Nagai was able to impress the members of Clan Skirata through tests of courage, skill at arms, and personal honor. He was officially adopted into Mandalorian Society in 51 ABY after two, long years of grueling trials.
It was during this time period that the Nagai met the Ubese, Zashyn Loross, whom he bonded with almost immediately. The pair were sent on several expeditions together, the close proximity budding into a passionate romance quickly. By 52 ABY, they were married within the eyes of the Clans. At once ecstatic to be with the woman, Onur also harbored fear over the fact that she might discover his hidden allegiance, and would assume he had bonded with her only to solidify his cover. He has taken great steps to avoid Zashyn stumbling upon his true goals within Mandalorian Society.
In 53 ABY, Onur Salil of Clan Skirata was one of the many verde who answered Manda'lor Ashrah Intalbo's call to arms against The Force-using Traditions of the Galaxy. He, unfortunately, was not able to get word out in time on which worlds were to be struck. Onur and Zashyn participated in the opening engagement on Yavin IV, directly involved in seizing Yavin Station, before they were ferried off attached to another battle group to assault the Jedi world of Ossus.
Onur is generally a quiet, though intelligent man. He speaks softly, assuredly, but has been known to lose his cool or temper in high-stress situations, particularly in flight or combat. Alternatively, Onur plays the role he is assigned to with near-flawless results: it is a rare day that the Nagai will betray his cover identity - his skills as an actor are second to none.
This does have the side effect of blurring lines for Onur, in which he can become so lost in a new identity that it makes it hard for him to separate from the faux persona. As his assignment within the Mandalorian Clans is the longest he has ever undertaken, this is starting to show more and more.
As a member of Clan Skirata, Onur has shown to be a generally trustworthy (ironically) being, acting with discretion and honor when possible. He's also known to be exceedingly passionate for a Nagai when it comes to his wife, as well as others he deems close friends (of which, he has few, if any, left).
In combat, Onur has shown a penchant for close quarters and melee fighting over using a ranged weapon. He is a skilled swordsman and has been known to use a pair of Nagai tehk'la blades to devastating effect, both crafted by himself in the traditions of his heritage. However, his military and special services training has familiarized him with a wide variety of blasters, slugthrowers, melee weapons, and other tools of combat.
As a Spy, Onur also has a thorough knowledge of security systems both electronic and otherwise, knows his way around a slicer kit, and has mastered a handful of languages. He has also studied Xenoanthropology, Xenobiology, and Galactic History extensively in an effort to better understand and blend in with the cultures he is asked to infiltrate.
