*Outside of the metropolitan areas of Adumar, the world itself was mostly lush and vibrant, filled with forests, plains, rivers, valleys, and gentle mountains. Large seas and oceans separate the several continents across the planet, facilitating the need of either waterborne or airborne travel to navigate any vast distances. Both of these are in large supply on Adumar, in no small part due to the populace's fascination with aerial combat. Also the thank is the formation of the Adumari Union, bringing the various continents together under a planetary-level government. Each Nation-State of Adumar usually occupies a rather large chunk of a continent and, while Adumari culture is prevalent throughout each individual area, local customs are most certainly neither uncommon nor unwelcome. The two largest Nation-States were those of Cartann (the current capital), and the Yedagon Confederacy, a coalition of countries that initially opposed Cartann's illegitimate bid to seize the entirety of the planet for itself. Since 13 ABY, however, these Nation-States live in peace with one another.*
