High Council Chambers

*Rebuilt following the desolation of the Yuuzhan Vong War, the High Council Spire was situated at the Southeast Corner of the sprawling New Jedi Temple. Finally finished in 35 ABY, the Chamber itself is almost an exact replica of the room that the last Council of the Old Republic met in during the waning days of The Clone Wars. With seating space for 12 members and chairs designed to accommodate a host of different species, the Chamber was where the High Council, the ruling body of The New Jedi Order, met. It was here that all matters of import to the entirety of The Order were discussed and decided on, the overlook of Coruscant providing a dramatic backdrop to words that carried the fate of trillions of beings throughout The Galaxy. Encased in a transparisteel pyramid of green, light had no trouble filtering in through the many windows that framed the top of the Spire, and artificial illumination was almost unnecessary due to the lighting of the nighttime Coruscant Skyline. For when a Master could not be physically present, or when a Jedi in the field needed to report to the Council itself, the room was equipped with a very powerful HoloTransciever, connected to one dozen-plus-one projectors that surrounded the room for each seat (with one in the center).

By the time of 53 ABY, Twelve Jedi Masters sat on the High Council at the outbreak of The New Mandalorian Wars.*
